Great for mid to good players
I love to evaluate pickleball paddles as I love to play pickleball. I have a few items to share. The handle is very firm, ready for a big game. I love how light and fast the Carbon Fiber paddle is. The Sweet Spot (SS) is pretty good on this paddle which allows for some nice hits. The SS surface was textured which made it easy to control the ball movement. The paddle’s look and feel is a very cool one. You can sport this paddle everywhere. Wow, this paddle has such precise hitting ability and power to boot. It was sending the ball zooming back, right where I wanted them. There is a paddle cover for this paddle. Based on the value for the price, I felt the value was better than average.
this paddle is ~ 15-5/8" long & ~7-1/4" wide ... the blade thickness is ~ 10mm (~ 0.4") ... the handle is ~ 5" long & is ~ 4-3/16" in circumference ... weight is ~ 211g (7.44oz) with a balance point ~ 6-1/2" from the top side ... the paddle has a fairly soft feel and is pretty quiet (relative to some other paddles) - i would say it is more of a control paddle (vs. being a power paddle) and feels a bit head heavy when playing ... the paddle does not look, sound, or appear to have a carbon or carbon-like face (now common but only in MUCH more expensive paddles) ... i've attached a very unscientific scratch test of the paddle face - but regardless, in play, i would not call this a good spin paddle ... the paddle does come with a nice neoprene cover ... construction seems good with no obvious issues ... with a somewhat smaller-sized grip and somewhat lighter weight, i would say these would make a excellent beginner to intermediate paddle - particularly for someone with smaller hands like younger kids and/or women - or somewhat wanting a lighter paddle ... the relatively short handle will NOT be very friendly to those using a double-handed backhand ... all in all, considering the price, i'd certainly give it very good rating for those looking for an inexpensive, entry-level paddle that is both lighter than most and has a smaller grip than most.
I’m an intermediate tennis player but in my old age I thought pickle ball would be easier on my legs plus half the cardio. So far so good but I lacked a decent racket so with the claim of carbon fiber I took a chance. Immediate improvement over the rental equipment and my friends extra paddle. Very responsive head area and they are light-weight which makes swinging the racket super easy. I’ve played about a half dozen times and I swing really hard because my pickle ball partners play at a high level, so far the paddle has held up with minimal damage. I’m very happy with these rackets and I don’t feel the need to upgrade my current equipment.
New to Pickleball, but so far I'm enjoying it and this paddle set was exactly what I needed to get started. Everything (including the case) seems sturdy and well made. I also like that the graphics on these paddles are a bit more subtle than some of the other paddles out there. If you're looking to get into Pickleball then this set will work great for you.
This paddle is very well built. The edges are reinforced and the surfaces are very durable. This paddle provides great rebound and control when hitting a ball. The hand grip has a good feel to it and makes it easy to hang onto the paddle. It is smooth, not bumpy and is very breathable.
This has a firm feel that is an improvement over the ones I've been using. I feel a bit less shock after hits and it gives a very solid and controlled feel. I can't really compare it to other carbon fiber but i'm happy I made the move.
I am not an advanced player by any means, but also when I play with super cheap paddles, I can tell. This is better than the cheapie paddles for sure. We have this one and another good one and then several cheap paddles and my kids fight over the good ones because even for kids they can tell the difference. So, if you are an advanced player this probably is not good enough for you, but it is definitely better than the cheapest ones. We are pleased.
I played pickleball once for 1hr a couple of months ago and decided to start playing it regularly in the near future.I haven’t had a chance to test out my new paddle on the court yet but the weight seems really balanced and the grip is a perfect fit for me. The grip material is comfortable and durable. I really like the overall feel of the paddle and the grip. The paddle is well made and the materials used seem awesome. I was hoping that the surface was textured, but it is NOT textured. It’s a smooth face on both sides of the paddle.I’m looking forward to testing this paddle out on the court soon and hope to update my post at a later date.
My wife and I have been wanting to try pickleball for a while, and got this as our first set of paddles/balls. We're beginners, and have no experience to draw from, but these seem great to us. They feel sturdy, and the grips are comfortable.
I give this one all the points because it does the job it sets out to do well. It comes with a nice packaging with two paddles, so you can get started right away playing pickleball. There is a mix of 2 outdoor and 2 indoor balls inside the set. With carbon fiber, it is much lighter than wooden sets and will put less strain on your wrist while maintaining a solid feeling for hitting.
I ordered this specifically for my 13-year-old son who has been getting into pickleball quite a bit. We've tried various paddles, and have access to probably half a dozen fiberglass-based ones and a couple of carbon fiber alternatives. This paddle has not disappointed! He literally plays a whole level better with this paddle than he does with any of our other, more beginner level paddles. Having used this myself as his dad, I can confirm that I have considerably more control with this paddle than most of the others we have. Particularly, at least from my experience, it's not overly powerful which means you have a lot more ability to control the ball without worrying as much about how far it's going to fly. That said, you also have to be careful to use enough force to put it where you want. I'm no professional pickleball player, I'm just relating it to the other paddles we have. This one gives us lots more control, but not as much power. I would rather have the control! Also comes with an awesome padded sleeve and the zipper seems high enough quality to last for a long time. We're very happy with this paddle and hope it will last for years to come.
These paddles were a nice upgrade for me.I had been using inexpensive beginner's paddles, and wanted something a step up.These are very strong, lightweight, and aren't covered with all those garish colors and patterns you see on so many other paddles.Comes with 4 balls--2 each of indoor and outdoor, and a nice zippered case.Good values for the whole set.
As a complete beginner to pickleball, I don't have any experience to compare these paddles with any others. That being said, I really like this complete SLNSports Pickleball Paddles Set for two players. I have larger than average hands for a female and the handle diameter and cushioning is comfortable. It also has decent traction so the grip is firm, even if sweating. I can't comment on the “spin” factor, but the carbon fiber paddle face is responsive and the balls generally go where I want them to. I appreciate that the facing design has subtle colors that aren't “loud” or distracting. The description states that these paddles have been authorized for professional tournaments - though I won't be playing tournaments anytime soon, this is definitely a good set for novice to intermediate level players. The set comes with two paddles, 4 balls, and a decent zippered carrying case to store it all compactly. The price point is slightly higher than comparable sets, but still affordable for someone just getting started on their pickleball journey. I can see myself playing with this quality set for quite awhile.
I am new to Pickle Ball and this kit is great for me. It has two paddles and some Pickle Balls to play. I love the simple design on the face of the paddle.
